Funky House Giants, future legends?

Published on December 15th, 2010

Probably not, but for most of the last decade, these two names permeated the funky house music scene. If you haven’t heard of them – and you love deep, funky house – then trust me, your favorite DJ loves them.

Kinky Movement has its origins rooted in Nottingham, in 1997 they were a collective of DJ’s hosting underground house nights. With that – heavy involvement in the UK free party scene. 3 of the crew took it to the next level and started producing choons in the early part of the 2000’s – and party people couldn’t be happier about it

Inland Knights came from the same vein – and were also involved with the Free Party scene, quite heavily, in the mid to late 1990’s. In ’98 DropMusic was born with the release of ‘Inland Knights vol1′ which marked the beginning of a prolific production shedule that saw releases on every major house label you can imagine, and to this day DropMusic remains one of the most popular destinations for those who dig it deep.
